San Rafael Swell

The region includes popular off-road vehicle routes that climb high mountains, descend steep canyons, cross rugged desert and roll over extensive sand dunes. The famous Arapeen Trail System runs along the tops of mountains on the western edge of San Rafael Country. San Rafael Country includes diverse landscapes, and so the trails vary widely in difficulty. Between the sand dunes, desert canyons, and forested mountains, the area offers something for every rider.

In terms of true ATV adventure, the Bar 10 is hard to beat. You’re constantly in view of the unparalleled beauty and ruggedness of America’s preeminent gorge, the 217-mile-long, 6,250-foot-deep rip in the earth that exposes hundreds of millions of years of geological erosion! Tours vary in length from 1 ½ hours to a full day, and they take you to some of the most astounding sights on earth!
